Although number of attendees much smaller than other two big reunion in 2008 & 2010, it was a most enjoyable and interesting weekend.  Friday night was a quiet "Meet & Greet" session, much 'Lamp Swinging' and passing off pictures of the 'good old days' aboard the ship. The two bus trips to Lord Leycester Hospital and National Arboretum despite the terrible weather was enjoyed by all. It was especially great to see two old shipmates who had never attended before, both cooks onboard our commission, namely John 'Pusser' Hill from Cheshire and Alex Pattie, who came over from Australia. We also enjoyed the return visit of Paul & Marilyn Schorn (1969-71) and we also welcomed for first time Stan Orme (1961-62), along with Dick & Paula Moon and Mick & Rosemary Inshaw both (1968-69).  It was Mick who put me on to IOW. Our guest of honour and after dinner speaker was another Ulster skipper, Captain James Briggs, who entertained us to some delightful and interesting anecdotes ( as he did all weekend) A surprise greeting card was delivered to hotel from Shipmate Colin 'Farmer' Plowright which I have laboured to produce a reasonable facsimile below.
